• Motopro frame sliders are designed to minimise the damage caused to the engine, body and frame of the motorcycle in the event of crash. These crash protectors can also help to minimize the damage to the plastic parts, fairings, clip-ons, rearsets etc components but that could be an added advantage and it is not the main purpose of the frame protectors. They act as an buffer between the ground and motorcycles frame and components.
• Material The core material of the Motopro Frame Sliders is made from Aircraft Billet Aluminium, thus being sturdy and lightweight at the same time. The ends of the Motopro Frame Sliders are made up of Delrin, which has the added advantage of being highly abrasive. Stainless steel fasteners are included where ever applicable to provide corrosion resistance.
• Feature Delrin slider at the event of crash will grind off and not catch on anything and if hit hard enough or direct enough it will shatter by absorbing the crash energy. If your slider shatters, grinds off or bolt bends then it did its job. You dont want it solid after a crash which could mean it didnt absorb any energy but merely transfered it on to what you bolted it to. These are no-cut crash protectors, no modifications required.
• FunctionThe load from the crash is passed to the chassis, purpose of the Frame slider is to get beat up and absorb that energy as much as possible and thus minimizing the damage passed on to the bikes core components. However, even the chassis is designed by the bike manufacturer to take certain maximum load. Hence, depending on the intensity of the fall/crash, no brands, including Motopros Frame Slider can prevent 100% of the damage.
